The objective of this project was to help the Board of Directors from the Robert Frost Foundation “rebrand” their non-profit poetry foundation located in Lawrence, Massachusetts. For this assignment, we had to create refined logo concepts with a letterhead, business card, and website design. We also had to make the poster for their upcoming “Hoot” poetry events, which feature a guest poet each month. Based on the initial thoughts of the client, I wanted to create a contemporary poster that would catch the viewer's attention. I used Impact as a compressed typeface with an extra bold look for the type. One challenge I faced was getting all of the information onto an appealing but easily implemented poster template. I chose to combine all of the essential elements into a single sentence so that viewers can get straight to the point while scrolling on Facebook, seeing the poster in print, or swiping through their website.
